With softball season right around the corner, the softball staff has already been hard at work on the field with the team and off the field in recruiting. All the hard work has paid off, as the Lady Rangers inked eight players from around the northern part of the Magnolia State on Jan. 15.
These eight players are expected to make a big impact on the team in the 2016 season, as all of these athletes have accomplished very much in their high school careers.
The new members to the Lady Ranger program include Kailey Walker, outfielder from Lake Cormorant High School; Tori Luke, pitcher and outfielder from Tri County Academy; Sallie Rose Carver, pitcher and infielder from Hernando High School; Katelyn Holley, pitcher and infielder from Hernando High School; Leeah Henson, pitcher and utility player from Senatobia High School; Anna Catherine Storey, outfielder from Senatobia High School; Kali Roberts, outfielder from Kosciusko High School and Allison Williams, infielder and outfielder from Southaven High School.
The 2015 softball season will start for the Lady Rangers in Summit, when they will take on Southwest Mississippi Community College on Feb. 17.
