Important dates to remember during fall semester

Over the course of the fall semester, there are several dates that every student should know.

These dates include registration dates, holidays and the dates for mini-terms and exams. Every student should know these dates in order to properly prepare for the coming semester. Before you know it, it will be too late to withdraw from a class or apply for graduation.

• Sept. 30 – Last day to withdraw from mini-term course with a “W” if passing

• Oct. 6 & 7 – First session mini-term final exams

• Oct. 10 & 11 – Fall Break

• Oct. 12-14 – Open registration for second session mini-term classes

• Oct. 17- Second session mini-term classes begin

• Oct. 21- Last day to withdraw from a course with a “W” if failing

• Oct. 28- Last day to apply for Fall graduation

• Oct. 31 – Nov. 3- Preregistration for Spring semester; 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

• Nov. 4 – Preregistration for Spring semester; 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

• Nov. 7-18 & 28-30- Preregistration by appointment

• Nov. 18- Residence halls close for Thanksgiving Holidays at 4 p.m.; Last day to withdraw from a mini-term course with a “W” if failing

• Nov. 21-25- Thanksgiving Holidays

• Nov. 27- Residence halls reopen at 2 p.m.

• Nov. 28 – Classes resume

• Nov. 30 – Dec. 2- Clearance

• Dec. 2 – Last day to withdraw from traditional or mini-term course with a “W” if passing

• Dec. 5-12 – Final exams for traditional and mini-term courses

• Dec. 9 – Residence halls close at 4 p.m.
